Artist's Statement
The circle, the idea of symmetry and the variety and transparencies of some Japanese papers inspired this body of work. My formal exploration evolved into a narrative revealing mysteries of the night moon. The dark figures anchor the viewer to a human presence within the scene, and create an exchange between the layers.
