Artist's Statement
My paintings are portals into my imagination, in which each becomes an open window or doorway to spaces filled with unrecognizable forms taking shape.

I draw my inspiration from close-up designs of creation found within the human body, botanics, zoology, and micro-organisms. The original forms evolve and grow into my own synthesized versions of creation. I transform my observations attempting to metaphorically illustrate spiritual layers of life from physical details of living things. This allows for a process of metamorphosis to flow throughout each painting, where organic shapes progressively develop into lively geometric compositions. In my work, I continually reflect on creation’s process of growing, illuminating, expanding, connecting, and springing up. This series of entryways and new beginnings invite viewers to respond to the visual melody of colour, line, and form while exercising their imagination.
